This was a favorite watercolor topic of mine–a long time ago–when I lived in Missouri.

When the dogwoods were in bloom, spring was just around the corner. Living in the desert now, I do miss the smell of spring rain, and the sound of raindrops gently bringing trees to life after a long midwestern winter.
