Travelogue ~
It was still raining when I got to Lake Louise in the heart of Banff National Park. Eventually, sun rays peaked through the clouds.
I stopped long enough to eat lunch at the fabulous Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. A castle on the shores of the glacier lake. If you like flowers, you’ll go nuts walking around all the gardens. The contrast with the lake provides for some amazing photo shots, no matter what kind of camera you have.
The tabloids are saying, it’s possible the young Prince William and Kate might be spending their honeymoon at Chateau Louise. Yes, it’s THAT beautiful.
A short distance from the very popular Lake Louise is Lake Morraine, nestled in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. There are log cabins sprinkled here and there in the woods. A lot of trails lead into the woods and around the lake. It was raining too hard for any kayaking, so I’ll have to go back at a later time. The glacier blue lake was unbelievable.
I didn’t take too many pictures here. It was so serene, I just sat on a bench and vegged.
